Erik is the solo moniker of composer and musician Erik Malmqvist, and Alea is his debut EP. Having composed and performed in various constellations ranging from classical, free improvisation to songwriting and electronic music, Erik is the ambitious attempt to express it all. With powerful melodic and rhythmic motion, the four tracks presents their own unique dive into the universe of Erik, carrying the listener through various emotions and vivid dynamics. Alea is a journey into the cold, white and clean digital harshness, but in the empty heights we might sense a glimpse of beauty.
